Swami Ramakrishnananda was a direct monastic disciple of Sri Ramakrishna. He was known equally for his erudition, devotion and service. In 1949, the lectures he delivered and essays he wrote between 1897 and 1911 were collated and brought out as a book. There are 22 chapters grouped under five parts. The book begins by laying bare the scheme of life and education in ancient India and ends with the author elucidating what Sri Ramakrishna came to teach, after touching upon different aspects of educational philosophy with scholarly impress.
This book is mainly intended for those interested in true and holistic education.
