Life of Sri Ramakrishna an English adaptation from Swami Saradananda, Sri Ramakrishna Leela Prasanga published by Advaita Ashrama in 1924 with a foreword of Mahatma Gandhi, is the source of the present book. The translator Prof . E. Subramaniam has enriched the new Tamil Translation titled Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishnar by adding more information from Swami Saradananda?s original work. Life of Prophet of the modern age is traced from his ancestral home at Dherai, the birth of the avatar, early days, the divine marriage, sadhanas, arrival of disciples and consummates with the Mahasamadhi at Cosipore. Though the book is a translation of the source book, it is more original in presenting the facts of Sri Ramakrishna?s life. It has 47 chapters and has 535 pages published in 1984. This book has been well received by the Tamil reading Readers.
