Nalvazhi Volume - 1 This is the first of a series of books written to inculcate faith in God in the young minds. Once such a faith is cultivated it helps the children to develop respect for parents teachers and elders which in turn helps to bring peace and happiness to the home. Parents and teachers should help the little ones to memorise the prayers so that they will remain a source of strength throughout their lives.
Nalvazhi Vol - 2 This book contains seven stories. Moral qualities such as truthfulness sacrifice and forgiveness form the basis of the stories. Young impressionable and tender minds can readily grasp the values of these simple great stories and broaden their outlook on life. Short prayers have been added at the end of each chapter to instill devotion in the young minds.
Nalvazhi Vol - 3 Moral and cultural values take deep roots in young minds. If children are exposed to noble ideas and ideals in the very early days they take to these influences readily and joyously and grow into modern citizens who can be a pride both to the nation and themselves. India's cultural and spiritual values stem from time immemorial and have survived all the ups and downs of history through the millennia. The weaknesses that stain our national character are only skin deep and can be easily removed if the growing generation is endowed with the correct values and Outlook. This series of booklets is specifically aimed at moulding the personality of the young ones. We see the hearty cooperation of both the teachers and parents to help rebuild a glorious India.
Nalvazhi Vol - 4 What is education? And why do we get educated? We may say that the general aim of education is to secure degrees and by that means good jobs. Earning sufficient money gives the assurance of being able to lead a secure life. But education does not mean mere possession of degrees certificates jobs and wealth. According to Swami Vivekananda education should be Man making and Character building. This can be achieved only by exposing the students to value-oriented education. It is interesting to note that when teachers and parents try to impart value education not only helps the students all-round personality development but also helps parents and teachers repent themselves. This gives them a sense of satisfaction and makes their lives happier and more meaningful. Value education helps an individual to equip himself with spiritual values so that you may face the trials and tribulations of human existence with equanimity. All knowledge is within. All that the teachers and parents actually do is to help bring out that knowledge. Similarly all good and bad tendencies are latent in the hearts of young. Parents and teachers should help them root out the bad tendencies and develop the good. Spirituality plays a great role in developing the character of the young. What the children today need is a philosophy to live by. They need to be illustrated with interesting incidents examples and insights to help the students reach excellence and reap success. An attempt has been made in this booklet in this direction and we hope it will be a source of inspiration to those who are to mould the character of the young.
