Sri Lalita Sahasranama
Sri Lalita Sahasranama is one of the popular pieces of Stotra literature that appears in the Brahmanda Purana. Lalita, the shortened form of Lalita-ambika, means the Playful One. Her Play consists in creation, sustentation, and dissolution of the universe as also the lifting of devotees from the cycle of births and deaths. Her philosophical and devotional significance is stirringly captured in this great Sahasranama.
Swami Tapasyananda, a former Vice-President of the Ramakrishna Order with sterling philosophical and intellectual insights, has rendered transliteration to the stotram and translated the namavali. The book is embellished by a scholarly introduction by Prof. D. S. Sarma.
